Treasurer & Vice President, Corporate Accounting
Paul Zastrow serves as treasurer and vice president of Corporate Accounting for Thrivent Financial. In this role, he manages the accounting functions for Thrivent Financial and its subsidiaries.
Paul joined Thrivent Financial as director of Financial Analysis and Reporting in October 2002. In 2004, he was named a vice president and head of Corporate Accounting. Two years later, he was named treasurer of the financial services organization. Prior to joining Thrivent Financial, Paul worked in public accounting at Coopers & Lybrand, LLP from 1987 to 1995 in both the Omaha and Minneapolis offices. He also worked at ReliaStar Financial Corp. from 1995 to 2002 in the corporate accounting department as assistant vice president.
Paul received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from Creighton University, Omaha, Nebraska. While at Creighton, he was elected to Beta Alpha Psi, an international honorary organization for accounting students and professionals. He earned his CPA in 1989 and currently holds an inactive license.
Paul is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and sits on the Accounting Committee for the American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI). He is an active member of his church and a volunteer leader for the Boy Scouts of America. Paul and his wife, Patty, reside in St. Paul. They have eight children.
