Michael J. Haglin
Retired Sales and Marketing Executive
Mike is a retired financial services executive who is involved with volunteering, board service, coaching, consulting and private investments.
His Financial Services career began in 1988 with Lutheran Brotherhood as a District Representative and later as an Associate General Agent. After earning his MBA he worked for Piper Jaffray in mergers and acquisitions followed by many years of experience with American Express Financial Advisors in a variety of leadership positions. Mike rejoined Thrivent shortly after the merger and held leadership positions in wholesaling, member engagement, sales and Marketing. He retired in 2016 after celebrating a combined total of 20 years of service to the organization.
Mike has previously served as a board member for the In Faith Community Foundation and is currently the Chairman of the Board for Thrivent Federal Credit Union. Professionally, he was a frequent speaker at company and industry events and was a tireless promotor of the importance of insurance for individuals and families.
He graduated with honors from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University where he earned a Master's degree in finance and accounting. He holds his Series 7, 63, 66, 53 and 24 licenses and industry designations of FIC, CFP, CLU and ChFC.
Mike and his wife Molly have four children and live in independence, Minnesota. His hobbies include running, hunting, fishing and being with family.
