Gretchen Agee

Director of Strategic Development

Gretchen Agee is a Director of Strategic Development at Thrivent where she is responsible for developing insights related to strategic opportunities and researching business questions impacting the Asset Management Division.

Gretchen joined Thrivent in 2013. Prior to her current role, she was an Internal Business Consultant, engaging in a variety of strategic projects designed to provide measurable improvement in the performance of the organization.

Prior to joining Thrivent, Gretchen practiced law at Dorsey & Whitney LLP in Minneapolis and served as a law clerk to former Chief Judge James P. Loken of the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Gretchen received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Stanford University. She received her Master of Business Administration from the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She also has a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Virginia School of Law, Charlottesville, Virginia. Gretchen also studied in Grenoble, France, where she earned a certificate for proficiency in French.

Gretchen currently serves on the Board of Trustees at St. John's University in Collegeville, Minnesota. She is also a member of the Parish Advisory board for St. Olaf Catholic Church in Minneapolis.
